Sizing your Cage

Parrots are commonly underestimated when it comes to there needs as far as bird cages. Bird cages for parrots should always be bird cages specifically made for parrots because those bird cages are built with the parrot in mind and the manufacturer understands the high energy needs of this type of bird. The bird cage had to be large enough for the parrot to have room exercise and move effortlessly in its bird cage. As an example a Conure should buy an Amazon size bird cage and Greys and Amazons should be in a Cockatoo size bird cage and most cockatoos should be in a Macaw bird cage. All reputable parrot cage manufacturers build bird cages with the size of the parrot in mind. Just remember parrots are typically considered high energy birds and the larger the bird cage the better for the bird.
